How it works

PDF to Excel pulls the tables out of your PDF and saves them as a CSV file that opens directly in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers. It saves you from retyping rows and columns by hand.

  1. Upload your PDF file.
  2. Choose the pages that contain the tables you need.
  3. Convert and download the CSV file.
  4. Open the CSV in Excel or any spreadsheet app.

Frequently asked questions

Do I get a real Excel (.xlsx) file?

The tool outputs a CSV file, which Excel opens and edits like any spreadsheet. You can then save it as .xlsx from within Excel if you need that exact format.

Does it work on scanned PDFs?

It reads tables from PDFs that contain real, selectable text. Scanned or image-only pages have no text underneath, so their tables usually can't be extracted.

Will the columns line up correctly?

Clear, well-structured tables convert cleanly, but complex layouts, merged cells, or multi-line rows may need a little cleanup afterward.

Is my file safe?

Your file is processed securely and is not stored after the conversion is finished.
